We have been living in Sydkap shack for several days now, and it starts to feel like home. In this remote place, the wind, the sun and the clouds constantly reshape the landscape. The cetacean search is one of the main goal of Mission Scoresby expedition. This Greenland mythical creature is full of mystery : we know only litle about him and no comprehensive study has ever established the count of narwhals in the oceans. This animal has a rough life : he is the most attractive target of the local hunters, and lives in a environnement changing really fast. This quest, related by Laurent Marie, is essential for our mission, to learn more about the location of the crews in the fjord, to better protect them. But we are facing many issues ....

We left the comfy Harefjord camp to begin, with a smaller team (the biologists, glaciologist and journalists left us), the last part of the expedition : reaching and studying the narwhals from SydKap, located at the mouth of the large Nordvestfjord where are cruising the bigest Scoresby's Icebergs.
