T he LOST WORLDS expeditions are an outstanding opportunity to raise awareness of the general public to the beauty of our planet and its wealth of life. Human adventure mixing exploration, science, stunning landscapes, fabulous animals and singular plants with a good deal of emotions and thrills, Lost Worlds holds all the ingredients of a successful blend.

On the model of our pilot project MAKAY that was given large-scale coverage, notably thanks to partners like Canal , La Martinière editions, La Cité des Sciences and Gédéon Programmes, the Lost Worlds expeditions will also bring unprecedented visibility to your company.

The Lost Worlds project aims at a very large public of all ages and background, in France and internationally. Communication will not only take place in countries where the documentaries are broadcast, but also where the expeditions are set, as well as where the collaborating scientists are coming from.

The project will lead to the following communication actions :

Films and videos

  • A documentary series in 3D for the general public, broadcast in primetime on a large audience TV channel in France and on many TV networks internationally
  • A video "Teaser" broadcast on sharing sites (Facebook, Youtube, Dailymotion, etc.) to present the project, attracting the general public and refer to the project website
  • A web series to keep up to date with the project, published weekly on the project website, on social media (Facebook, Youtube, Dailymotion, etc.) and on our partners websites
  • Short reportages on scientific discoveries published on the website Universcience.fr and its partners (LeMonde.fr, Infoscience, etc.)
  • DVD and VOD release for each episode
  • A 12-min making-off available online after each broadcast and as DVD bonus
  • A DVD box set with a booklet of the best images from the expeditions and the filming

Books

  • A photographic book showcasing the Lost Worlds wonders for each project
  • A adventure story book from the project leader

Educational project

  • Downloadable pedagogic materials for teachers
  • A forum dedicated to students and teachers
  • School-based interventions

A wide online presence

  • A website www.lost-worlds.org introducing the whole project (objectives, teams, places, etc.), with news updates, presentation of our partners and additional unreleased materials (photo galleries, videos, wallpapers, etc.)

  • A blog to follow day-to-day the expeditions, the progress of the research and to reach out to the general public

The average cost of a Lost Worlds expedition is estimated at 250 k€. With a frequency of two expeditions a year, we are looking for an annual budget of 500 k€.

We are mainly looking for financial partnerships, but they can be completed by contributions in technologies, equipment, or even skills.
